How Delta Instore started
The model from the start was an in-house team that could design, render, manufacture, print, finish, and deliver under one roof — without the cost layers that come from a chain of subcontractors.
Eight years on, the team has grown to 51–200 people, the factory has expanded to a single integrated facility at 16 Toronto Street in Apex, Benoni, and we’re working with more than 500 local clients alongside an international export book that reaches sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Australia.
The factory
The Benoni facility houses every step of production: steel cutting and welding, powder coating, cardboard die-cutting and conversion, in-house print room (UV, reverse UV, screen, magnetic decal), assembly, and despatch. We also operate a showroom on-site — by appointment, so the right person is there to walk you through it.
The factory is solar-powered. We made the call early to invest in rooftop generation — partly because Benoni’s daylight hours are good, and partly because consistent power has become a hard manufacturing constraint in South Africa. Combined with comprehensive waste recycling, our energy footprint is meaningfully below the sector average — and clients exporting to Europe specifically appreciate that the supply chain doesn’t rely on grid coal.
How we run quality
Every display we manufacture carries a QR code tagged into the production system. Any unit returned to us — even years later — can be traced back to the original production batch, the print run, the raw-material lot, and the quality-control sign-off.
Production efficiency has grown by more than 250% since 2017, driven by capital investment in CNC steel cutting, automated welding lines, and a UV print room that runs alongside the manufacturing line rather than behind it.
The team
Delta is a relationship business. The same sales consultant who scopes your first quote is usually still on the project at delivery — Riaan, Frans, Morne and the rest of the team are referenced by name in client testimonials because that’s how the company operates. We’d rather build a long-term relationship across multiple campaigns than win a single big tender and disappear.

We have moved over to Delta shelving almost a year ago and it has made installations so much easy, smoother and neater.
