What is a point of sale (POS) display?
A POS display is a stand or fixture placed at or near the checkout, or in another high-traffic area, to drive product visibility and impulse purchases. Common formats include dump bins, counter-top displays, freestanding floor stands, and aisle end-caps.
What materials are retail displays made from?
Common materials include mild steel, wire, acrylic, PVC board, ABS plastic, cardboard, foam board, corrugated fluting, and vinyl. Delta Instore works with all of these and offers UV printing on most surfaces.
What materials and printing capabilities does Delta Instore utilise?
We manufacture using mild steel (sheet metal, square/rectangular/round tubing, wire), cardboard, and plastics including PVC, ABS and acrylic. Printing: UV, reverse UV, screen, and magnetic decal. Substrates: cardboard, Corex board, PVC board, acrylic, foam board, magnetic sheets, vinyl, and ABS.
What file formats do you accept for artwork?
PDF, AI, EPS, and high-resolution JPG. Supply at print resolution (300dpi at final size) with 3mm bleed.
Pricing, MOQ & Lead Time
What are the minimum order quantities?
MOQs vary by product type. Generic display units, custom stands, and wire dump bins: 10 units. Freestanding cardboard displays: 20 units. Counter cardboard displays: 50 units.
How much do custom retail displays cost in South Africa?
Pricing varies by material and quantity. Wire dump bins start around R800–R2,500 per unit. Custom steel displays run R3,000–R15,000 depending on spec. Cardboard POS units run R300–R1,500 per unit. Custom projects are quoted free of charge.
What is the production lead time?
Depending on order size and complexity, production runs 17–20 working days. Many orders are placed in advance to ensure prompt delivery.
How long does it take to manufacture a custom display stand?
Typically 3–5 weeks from concept approval — roughly one week for 3D design, one week for prototype, two to three weeks for production. Expedited runs are possible for higher-volume orders.

What is the typical custom display process?
Concept meeting → 3D design renderings → prototype (where required) → production → secure delivery with installation components. Turnkey across design, manufacturing, packaging, and delivery.
Can I get a prototype before full production?
Yes. We manufacture a working prototype for client approval before committing to a full run. Recommended for any custom project to verify dimensions, branding, and structural integrity in real-store conditions.

Do you do shipping and deliveries?
Yes — local deliveries, regional shipping into sub-Saharan Africa, and international export to Europe, the Americas, and Australia. Many clients also collect from our facility in Benoni.

Yes. Delta Instore is a registered, internationally certified exporter, currently shipping to clients in sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Australia. Every display is QR-tracked through manufacturing and fulfilment.
